Implementation Partners
A pathway to stronger community health.
Vision Action Fund works with community health workers, local nonprofits, and religious institutions to distribute eyeglasses across high-burden, populous countries like Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
We help build the capacity that makes programs work.
Vision Action Fund collaborates with on-the-ground partners to enable the training and capacity-building necessary for delivering reading glasses at scale — providing the screening protocols, supply chains, and operational know-how it takes to get a sustainable program up and running, then keep it running long after we've stepped back.
We co-launch solutions that rely on community trust.
Community health workers, faith-based and NGO organizations, and pharmacies hold trusted positions within local communities, making them a critical springboard to expand access to reading glasses at the last mile.
Eyeglasses are the link to other health interventions.
Reading glasses are a tangible and immediate “fix,” and draw people toward healthcare services. When a community member comes in for glasses, they can also be screened for other health services and connected to additional care as needed.
